Appearance & Quality：D-calcium pantothenate is a white powder, no smelly odor, tastes a little bitter, has hydroscopic property. Its aqueous solution shows neutrality or slightly alkaline, easy to dissolve in water, slightly solvable in ethanol, almost can not dissolve in chloroform or aether.

It can adjust the metabolization of protein, carbohydrate and fat, protect the skin and the mucous membrane, improve hair or feather's colour and lustre and guard against the happening of disease,especially for the poultry and bagridae animals's growth, fat's synthesization and decompound. The demand of calcium pantothenate is indispensable.

Deficient symptom ：lack the pantothenic acid may cause poultry grow slowly,the procreation enginery appear obstacle, and the adaptability slow down.

Dosage：poultry's pantothenic acid quantity demanded is 10-20mg per kg ration; the bagridae type animals need 50-60mg per kg feed; the fish fry should add 30%,10-20mg；the spawn fish should add 50%, specially the shrimp need 150-200mg pantothenic acid.
